The Muslim Jesus: Love, Healing, and Divine Unity
What does Islam teach about Jesus?
How does the Qur’an portray the life, mission, miracles, and spiritual significance of Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him?
And what wisdom can the Muslim Jesus offer us in a time of fear, division, and spiritual longing?
In this experiential and heart-centered class, Dr. Habib explores Jesus through the lens of Islam, Sufism, and interspiritual wisdom. Moving between sacred story, contemplative reflection, and spiritual practice, participants will encounter Isa not only as a messenger of God, but as a living symbol of mercy, healing, surrender, intimacy with the Divine, and unconditional love.
Together we will explore:
The Qur’anic story of Jesus and Mary
The similarities and differences between Islamic and Christian understandings of Jesus
Jesus as healer, servant, and messenger of divine compassion
The mystical meaning of Jesus in the Sufi tradition
Sacred chanting (dhikr), meditation, breath, and heart-opening practices inspired by the life of Isa
How prophetic wisdom can help us remain spiritually grounded amid the intensity of modern life
This class is open to Muslims, Christians, seekers, and spiritually curious people of all backgrounds. No prior knowledge is necessary — only an open heart.
Participants will leave with practical spiritual tools, deeper interfaith understanding, and renewed connection to the Divine presence within and around them.

Faith in Tough Times: Lessons from the Life of Job and Chants to Integrate Them
When life brings hardship—whether personal struggles or collective challenges—we can feel disoriented, weary, or even abandoned. Yet across the spiritual traditions, the story of Job (Ayyub, peace be upon him) reminds us that resilience, patience, and faith are always pathways back into the heart of the Divine.
This two-part course explores timeless lessons from Job’s life through the lens of Sufi wisdom, paired with contemplative chanting to help integrate these teachings into body, heart, and spirit. Together, we will reflect on themes of surrender, patience, generosity, trust, and Divine love—learning how to return to God in all circumstances and to see both hardship and ease as invitations into deeper intimacy with the Beloved.
Each session weaves together:
Readings from The Stories of the Prophets by Sidi Shaykh Muhammad al-Jamal
Qur’anic verses and sayings across traditions that illuminate Job’s journey
Guided chanting practices (dhikr) to embody the lessons and cultivate presence
Space for reflection, silence, and optional sharing
The course also offers interspiritual equivalents to the Sufi chants—drawing from Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, and spiritual-but-not-religious practices—so participants from all backgrounds can engage meaningfully.
Whether you seek healing, grounding, or renewed strength, Faith in Tough Times invites you to rest in the ocean of God’s mercy and love, and to embody a faith that can carry you through every season of life.
